How do I schedule an appointment?

There are several ways to make an appointment, so you can make the selection that is easiest for you. Use the buttons below to request an appointment.

How often should I attend sessions?

Most people typically attend sessions once a week or once every two weeks. We will tailor your frequency of sessions to your individual goals and needs.


How long do therapy sessions last/how long are people usually in therapy?

The amount of time in therapy depends on the goals and issues you're looking to address. Our approaches are goal-oriented and solution-focused. We don't believe in lifelong therapy. The goal is to get you back to living your most joy-filled life as soon as possible. 


How long does a therapy session last?

Sessions are 53 - 60 Minutes in length.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

You will have direct contact information to communicate with your therapist via phone, email, or secure messaging within your client portal regarding scheduling. Our office policy is that all cancellations or reschedules must be made within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment to avoid a fee. Late cancellations and no-shows have a $50  fee and are charged to the card on the client’s file. Insurance cannot be charged for this fee.

How much will therapy cost and do you accept insurance?

The cost of therapy is $120 per session at Live Your Joy Counseling. We participate with some commercial insurance companies, including:

  • Blue Cross

  • Blue Shield

  • BlueCross and BlueShield

  • Cigna and Evernorth

  • Cofinity | First Health

  • Health Alliance Plan (HAP)

  • Meridian  Commercial only 

  • Molina Healthcare Commercial only 

  • Priority Health Commercial  only 

  • UnitedHealthcare UHC | UBH

    We do not offer direct out-of-network billing at this time; however, we can provide a Superbill for the patient's submission upon request.
